Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Albergo La Margherita, I found myself pleasantly surprised by the delightful culinary offerings. Each morning began on the terrace, where I savored fresh coffee paired with a selection of cheeses and pastries. Eating breakfast while gazing at the breathtaking views of Scala set a perfect tone for the day. The restaurant at the hotel served simple, yet innovative dishes that reflected local flavors. I particularly enjoyed trying regional specialties, alongside some recommendations from Carla, the ever-helpful staff member. She guided us to lesser-known eateries, which enriched our experience of the Amalfi Coast beyond the usual tourist spots. During one of our quieter afternoons, I took to the large pool area adjacent to the hotel, where I relaxed in the sun, often choosing to order lunch from the poolside menu. This laid-back atmosphere, combined with genuine local touches in the dishes, made our stay memorable.
